Gladys M. Yenter, 95

Gladys M. Yenter, age 95, formerly of Rosholt died Tuesday March 6, 2018, at Brookdale Assisted Living facility in Stevens Point.

Gladys was born March 25, 1922 in the town of Sharon. She was the daughter of the late Felix and Genevieve (Kruzicki) Richter. She attended Hamilton Grammar School.

Her marriage to John Yenter took place on May 17, 1947, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church Polonia. After the marriage the couple took over the family farm in Rosholt, retiring in 1987. The farm is still operated to this day by their son, Niles, and family.

Gladys was a member of St. Adalbert’s rosary society. She enjoyed, bingo, gardening, her dog Trixie and the Brewers. She also enjoyed spending time with her family, going to various sporting events and attending church picnics. Gladys was devoted to her faith, praying the rosary daily.   

Gladys is survived by three daughters; Darlene (Richard) Kolodziej of Mosinee, Shirley (Ted) Trzebiatowski of Amherst and Miranda (Mark Jr.) Hemmrich of Junction City; four Sons; Chet (Faye) of Rosholt, Mike (Judy) of Rosholt, Clifford (Debbie) of Amherst Junction and Niles (Kari) of Rosholt. She was blessed with 22 grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren.

She is also survived by her sister; Florence Soik of West Allis.

She was preceded in death by six brothers, two sisters, son-in-law Michael Roth and grandson, Kyle Roth.

Gladys’ family is thankful to Brookdale and Ascension Hospice for the wonderful care that was given. She was treated like she was part of their family.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday March 9, 2018, at St. Adalbert Catholic Church Rosholt. Rev. Jeffery Hennes will officiate. Burial will follow in the parish cemetery. Visitation on Thursday from 4-7 p.m. at the Pisarski Funeral Home Stevens Point and again on Friday from 10 a.m. until time of service at the church. Parish rosary will be prayed at 7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
