The 14th annual Taste of Wine & Cheese returns on April 6.
The largest fundraiser for the Boys & Girls Club of Portage County will be held in the Noel Hangar of the Stevens Point Municipal Airport from 7-10 PM. More than 800 attendees are expected.
The group hopes to raise $150,000 to help cover “ever-increasing costs” at the Boys and Girls Club, a news release from the club reads in part.
The elegant affair will feature over 100 different wines, a variety of cheeses and hors’doeuvres from Trig’s and Rockman’s Catering, desserts and savory dishes from local bakers, bourbon samples from Cellar 70, local brewery samples from Central Waters Brewing Company, O’so Brewing Company, and the Stevens Point Brewery, and a spirits tasting from Great Northern Distillery.
A silent auction, a wine raffle, a chance to win a diamond donated by Lee Ayers Jewelers will also be available in the Sippin’ for Bling element of the evening. A raffle offers chances to win a flat screen television, four preseason tickets to a Green Bay Packer game, or a $100 Amazon gift card.
The event will also feature “Wishing Trees” where Boys & Girls Club members put their wish-list items for the club’s different locations. The club’s goal is to end the night without a single star left on the tree.
This year’s Taste of Wine & Cheese event is presented by Midwest Communications, Newsline 9 and Piper Products.
Tickets are available at Trig’s in Stevens Point, at the Boys & Girls Club Berard Center in Stevens Point, or by clicking here, for $75 per person.
