Francis M. (Michael) “Frank” Iwanski, 79

Francis M. (Michael) “Frank” Iwanski, 79, of Stockton, passed away early Friday morning, January 12, 2024, while under hospice care.

Frank was born on February 27, 1944, in Amherst. He was the son of the late Frank and Mary (née Trzebiatowski) Iwanski.

Frank attended local grade schools, graduating from P.J. Jacobs High School in 1962. His marriage to Lois Kraklow took place on January 15, 1981, in Stevens Point. After their marriage, the couple settled in Stevens Point.

Frank worked construction for several businesses including the Guzman Corp., the Whiting Paper Mill, and St. Michael’s Hospital until his retirement in 2009.

Frank enjoyed the outdoors fishing, hunting, and camping, and loved riding his Harley motorcycle. What he loved the most was spending time with his grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial in Frank’s name will be established at a later date.

Survivors include his wife Lois; their daughter Jody (Scott) Kowalski of Plainfield; and his two grandchildren Devon and Mckenze; siblings Rita (Albert) Gostomski and Lucille Koback both of Stevens Point, and Maynard (Betty) Iwanski of Wisconsin Rapids.

Frank was preceded in death by his parents, and seven brothers and sisters.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, January 18, 2024, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Polonia. Fr. Mark Miller officiating. Burial will follow in the Sacred Heart Parish Cemetery. Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. at Sacred Heart Church until the time for mass.
