DOT: Avoid Bus. 51 in Plover, Whiting this week

Metro Wire Staff

The Wisconsin Department of Transportation has announced extensive activity for the Bus. 51 project in Plover and Whiting on May 6 and 7.

Traffic will be reduced to one lane on County Hwy. HH, and flagging will occur between approximately 8:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. on Monday, May 6 and Tuesday, May 7. Motorists can expect flagging roughly between Bus. 51 and School Ave.

Motorists can also expect the intersection of Locust St. and the south side of McDill Ave. to be closed beginning Monday, potentially reopening on Thursday to allow for the installation of the remaining deep storm sewer.

Project Leader Korey Boehm is asking motorists to try to avoid the area if possible on Monday and Tuesday due to potential traffic delays caused by flagging.
