Metro Wire Staff

The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources on Wednesday announced all in-person hunter education classes, including archery education classes, begin on April 1.

The DNR has established safety protocols in order to provide the safest possible teaching environment during COVID-19.

Instructors can begin enrolling traditional classes via the GoWild website on Monday, March 15. In-person traditional classes can begin on Thursday, April 1.

Due to COVID restrictions, classes are capped at 50 students. Social distancing, face-coverings, and sanitizing equipment are all class requirements. Hand sanitizer will be available for each class, and classes should be held outside whenever possible, according to the DNR.
