Carol Ann Olsen, 78

Carol Ann Olsen, born under a shooting star in Stevens Point, passed away peacefully November 30, 2023.

Carol was born October 23, 1945, daughter of the late Thorwald and Marguerite (née Mayer) Olsen.

Carol attended P.J. Jacobs High School and graduated from the University of Wisconsin – Stevens Point with a degree in sociology.

Carol’s vivacious life included volunteering for Meals On Wheels, working as a lifeguard, golf course ranger, and as a personal lines underwriter for Sentry Insurance. In her free time, Carol was a crossword puzzle aficionado, a master Bridge player, a gardening guru, and a loving Grammy. She was the quintessential life of the party, slaying in the art of conversation and spirited debate.

Survivors include her son, Mark (Ann)Molski and daughter, Jennifer (Wes) Winiecki, Stevens Point; and, siblings Ralph (Donna) Olsen, Stevens Point; Tom (Kathleen) Olsen Englewood, Fla.; Norma Olsen, Seattle, Wash.; James (Karen) Olsen, Waupaca, Wis., and Lenore (Dan) Jirovec, of Stevens Point.

Carol was preceded in death by her parents and sister Lenore (Dan).

Carol’s skill as a gifted golfer was apparent. No doubt she is currently playing her best game ever.
