BREAKING: Amber Alert issued for missing Plover kids canceled

The Amber Alert has been canceled. The kids and parent have been located safe in Iowa.

Fox said the Department of Justice is assisting the department on the investigation and is in the process of setting up a tip line.

Plover Police Chief Ryan Fox said the Amber Alert has been extended to Iowa and Illinois and that officers are “following up on all active leads.”

An Amber Alert has been sent out for two Plover kids believed to be with their father, Yiemen Xiong.
Police are asking the public to watch for Alexander Muajkoob Xiong, 7, and nine-year-old Stefan Yenghoua Xiong.
Alexander is described as an Asian male, three feet, five inches tall and weighing 85 pounds.
Stefan is also an Asian male, weighing 130 pounds standing at 3’10”. He is also autistic and nonverbal, according to a news release from the Plover Police Department.
Yiemen Xiong is a 41-year-old Asian man weighing 125 pounds. He has a short, black beard and brown eyes. He was last seen in Iowa, but he has ties to Marathon and Columbia counties.
He is believed to be driving a 2010 gold Toyota Sienna minivan with Wisconsin license plates 740-XTN.
