Braedon J. “Brady” Franz, 19

With the deepest sorrow, we announce that Braedon J. “Brady” Franz of Stevens Point, age 19 a most beloved son, brother, grandson, family member, and friend, died Friday, October 16, 2020.

Brady was born on October 23, 2000, in Stevens Point, a son of Brad and Sue (Benzmiller) Franz. Brady attended local schools and graduated from SPASH in 2019.

Many knew Brady as a talented athlete through his participation and outstanding performance in local football, basketball, and particularly baseball programs. He was a four-time varsity letter winner for SPASH Baseball, the first in many years for the program, earning All-State Honors his senior year for his play in center field. He was also a four-year member of the American Legion Post 6 Senior Sixers baseball club. His typically quiet, reserved, and bashful nature resulted in fewer being aware of his love for music, art, nature, and simply time spent with friends and family.

Brady is survived by his parents; brothers, Austin, Conner, Chase, and Codey; grandparents, Don and Ginny Benzmiller of Stevens Point and Mary Osier of Plover; Aunts and Uncles, Ken Franz of Bancroft and Audra (Szymkowiak) Franz of Plover, Keith and Beth (Benzmiller) Karr of Stevens Point, Laura (Benzmiller) Reed and Kenny Fisher of New Berlin; his cousins, Derek, Chad, and Kyle Franz, Kyle and Haley Karr, and Taylor Reed; and by numerous other relatives and many, many friends.

He was preceded in death by; his sister, Ellie; and his grandfather, Robert Franz.
