Women’s Fund of Portage County announces grant recipients

The Women’s Fund of Portage County has announced its 13 award recipients for 2022.

Grant allocations totaling $44,364 were awarded to programs and projects that support women and children in Portage County, and to partner agencies, the Stevens Point Area YMCA, and the Aspirus Stevens Point Foundation.

The list of grant winners follows:

Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Wisconsin: One-to-One Virtual Mentoring for Youth
Boys & Girls Club of Portage County: Summer 2021 Meal Program
Central Rivers Farmshed: Sib Pab Dinner from My Kitchen 2022-2023
Central Wisconsin Symphony Orchestra: Educational Concerts for 4th Graders
Junior Achievement of Wisconsin, Inc.: Junior Achievement of Portage and Wood Counties
Portage County Health & Human Services: Cribs for Kids
Stevens Point Child Safety Center: Adopt a Seat
The Playhouse Theatre Group: Exceptional Arts Programming
Community Partners of Portage County: Better Together
Operation Bootstrap: Rent/Mortgage, Transportation & Utility Assistance
Operation Bootstrap: Transportation Assistance for Women in Need
Portage County Literacy Council: Mobilizing Volunteer Tutors to Serve Adults with Low Literacy
Women’s and Gender Studies Program, UWSP-Women’s Fund of Portage County Scholarships
