WisDOT to perform bridge maintenance this week

The Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) North Central Region has scheduled the following bridge maintenance activities during the week of September 14.

All work and closures are weather dependent and subject to change. Motorists are advised to use caution and remain alert when driving through any work zone.

Marquette County

I-39 southbound over WIS 23 interchange

Marquette County Highway Department will be making repairs to the bridge deck edge on the I-39 bridge over WIS 23 in Endeavor. Motorists will encounter a daily, single-lane closure from 6 a.m. through 4 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 16, and Thursday, Sept. 17.

Portage County

I-39/US 51 northbound and southbound

Portage County Highway Department will be applying polymer overlays on the northbound and southbound bridges over North Branch Ten Mile Creek in Bancroft. Motorists will encounter single-lane closures from Wednesday, Sept. 16 from 6 a.m. to Friday, Sept. 18, at 4 p.m.

Shawano County

WIS 29 westbound over the Wolf River

Shawano County Highway Department will be performing routine bridge maintenance to improve ride and bridge life on the WIS 29 westbound bridge over the Wolf River in Shawano. Motorists will encounter single-lane closures from 6:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., Wednesday, Sept. 16, and Thursday, Sept. 17.
