This is the Fall/Winter DNR Elk Advisory Committee meeting that includes some minor herd updates, partner updates and decision items for recommendations to Wisconsin DNR Wildlife Management Leadership Team and Elk Management Plan drafting and eventual approval. Decision items include: Ten-year population goals for Central and Northern Elk Management Zones, Exterior zone and hunting unit alterations/changes in Central Elk Zone, and decision for 2024 Central Elk Zone Hunt.

OFF-HIGHWAY MOTORCYCLE COUNCIL MEETING

The Off-Highway Motorcycle Council provides advice and makes recommendations to the department of natural resources, the department of transportation, the governor, and the legislature on all matters relating to off-highway motorcycle trails, including matters relating to activities conducted on off-highway motorcycle trails and by off-highway motorcycle users, and makes recommendations to the department of natural resources with regard to requests for funding.
The Off-Highway Motorcycle Council will meet to make funding recommendations to the department and conduct other OHM-related discussions and business. The public will be invited to join the meeting via Zoom or in person. The Zoom meeting link, agenda, and other meeting materials are available on the OHM Council webpage.

The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources (DNR) will host the next PFAS External Advisory Group (EAG) meeting from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 15, 2023.
Agenda items include updates and discussion on recent and anticipated PFAS actions, research on PFAS in Wisconsin and updates from working groups.
This is a working meeting of the EAG. While the public is invited to attend, there may not be opportunities to engage in the discussion. Questions may be submitted in advance to DNRPFASInquiries@wisconsin.
