The Portage Co. Public Library on April 5 will celebrate the final season of Game of Thrones.

A night of “intrigue, fandom, and fun” for adult fans of the show is planned for Friday, April 5, ahead of the April 14 season premiere on HBO. The medieval fantasy epic, now in its eighth and final season, is based on a best-selling “A Song of Ice and Fire” book series by George R.R. Martin.

Attendees are encouraged to wear costumes.

According to a news release from the library, the night will include show-inspired snacks and games like “Secret Spider” and “One-Night Ultimate Westeros”, and participants can answer the call to help Arya complete her list in a library-wide scavenger hunt.

Four lucky fans will go home with a professional-quality Game of Thrones map by German artist Klaradox, the news release said.

The event is free but registration is required. Attendees must be 18 years or older.

Game of Thrones Night will be held 6:30-8:30 p.m. library, 1001 Main St. To register, call (715) 346-1548.
