William “Bill” Gile, 86

William “Bill” Gile, 86 of Stevens Point, passed away on October 24, 2022, at the Marshfield Medical Center – River Region.

Bill was born November 15, 1935, in Grand Rapids Michigan to Fred and Ruth (Leber) Gile.

Bill married Caroline Radomski on May 18, 1957, at St. Peter Catholic Church in Stevens Point. Together they welcomed three beautiful children into their family. To provide for his family, he worked at the Stevens Point Brewery. He dedicated over 30 years to the brewery until his retirement.

Bill was a man of nature as he genuinely enjoyed outdoor activities. He enjoyed camping, fishing, hunting, snowmobiling, bird watching, and woodworking.

Bill is survived by his two sons; Perry (Cindy) and Scott (Deb) Gile, his daughter, Tammy Mendyke, and six grandchildren; Nicole (Alex) Molski, Ryan Gile (fiance Rachel), Matt (Tiffany) Gile, Miranda (Dustin) Lepak, Jamie (Patrick) Ruhland, and Brandon Mendyke. He is further survived by five great-grandchildren.

Bill was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Carol.

A service for Bill will be held on Monday, November 7, 2022, at 11:30 a.m. at Shuda Funeral Chapel, 3200 Stanley St., Stevens Point. Friends and family may gather to share memories at the funeral home that day from 10:30 AM until the time of service.
