The city’s parks department is spearheading a family-friendly Easter egg scavenger hunt beginning on March 19.

The first clue will be posted to the Stevens Point Parks Department Facebook page on Friday, March 19, and lead participants to the first location inside Iverson Park, 4601 Main St. Subsequent clues will lead participants to a series of locations throughout the park.

The scavenger hunt runs through April 5. At the final location, participants are invited to take a photograph and send it to [email protected] for entry into a prize giveaway.

“Our hope is to provide a fun outdoor activity at one of our beautiful city parks,” a press release from Parks Director Dan Kremer reads in part. “This will be a way to get community members and families outdoors and active while social distancing and staying safe. Simply follow the clues and discover the scavenger hunt locations.”

Any questions about the scavenger hunt can be directed to the Stevens Point Parks, Recreation
and Forestry Department by calling 715-346-1578.
