Sculpture Park gets ‘Lit’ again in September

By Patrick Lynn

The Stevens Point Sculpture Park is getting ‘Lit’ once again this fall.

The 25-acre park will be the site of the annual LIT celebration—a chance for the public to see the park in a new light, with an evening event featuring illuminated sculptures, live dance, and a film debut.

Activities begin at 8 p.m. on Sept. 16 at the Stevens Point Sculpture Park, 901 Second St. North. The event will welcome the public to see the park in a new light, with an evening event featuring illuminated sculptures, dance performances, music, and film.

Lit is free and open to the public, and this year features three newly-installed illuminated sculptures, in addition to other select works, watch live dance performances, listen to music with DJ Frank Slowinski (Imaginary Friend), and debut film projects.

The Stevens Point Sculpture Park is volunteer-run and only possible with the help of private donors, including the Koziol Family Fund, and grants through the Community Foundation of Central Wisconsin.
