Richard “Rick” “Pops” J. (James) Yach, 66

Richard “Rick” “Pops” J. (James) Yach, 66 of Plover passed away late Tuesday morning, September 20, 2022, at his home.

Rick was born on April 16, 1956, in Stevens Point. He was the son of the late Bernard and Gloria (Stremkowski) Yach.

He attended local schools and Stevens Point Area Senior High. He was a member of the Army National Guard from May 31, 1974, until April 30, 1984, serving as a PL4.

His marriage to Lori Saeger took place on October 4, 1992, in Stevens Point. His wife Lori survives.

Rich worked for McCains foods as a quality auditor retiring in 2018. In his free time, Rick enjoyed the outdoors, fishing, hunting, and spending time with his family, especially his grandsons.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial in Rick’s name will be established. Survivors include his wife Lori, two sons Richard Yach Jr, of Plover and Eric (Courtney) Perlak of Appleton and one daughter Krystal (Derek) Clark of Bancroft. His four grandsons are Derek Jr., Dalton, Kaden, and Kase. Further survived by his siblings Rose Williams of Plover, Susan (Joel) Starr of Plover, Patti (Scott) Prince of Stevens Point, Bernard “Butch” (Mary) Yach, and Jerry (Valerie) Yach both of Stevens Point. Many nieces and nephews.

Rick was preceded in death by a granddaughter Klaire Clark, two nephews Nathan Starr and Jamie Saeger, and two brothers-in-law, Hank Williams and Bob Saeger.
