The Riverfront Arts Center has announced an open call for its Open Water Art Exhibition.

The community showcase celebrates the significance of water.

Artists aged 18 and older are invited to submit their water-themed artwork at the RAC on Thursday, Aug. 17, or Friday, Aug. 18 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. The show will be on display from September 1 to October 22.

The Open Water Art Exhibition will be held in conjunction with the Take Me to the River: Healing Waters project, an initiative to raise awareness about the vital importance of water daily life.

“This exhibition will provide artists with a platform to express their creative interpretations of this theme, fostering a deeper understanding of water’s influence on our environment and personal well-being,” a news release from RAC reads.

Artists can submit up to three pieces of artwork created in the last two years in any media, 2-D or 3-D, for a non-refundable jury fee of $10 each.

To apply go to www.stevenspoint.com/rac.
