Nancy M. Tokarski, 69

Nancy M. Tokarski, 69, of Stevens Point, passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 13, 2024, at Maple Ridge Assisted Living while under the care of Aspirus Hospice, with her loving children at her side.

She was born November 4, 1954, in Stevens Point, the daughter of the late Edmund and Emily (née Koback) Tokarski.

Nancy attended local grade schools and later obtained her GED and CNA certification. On August 12, 1972, she married William J. Niemczyk at St. Peter’s Catholic Church. The couple later divorced. Nancy worked as an inter-mail processor for Sentry Insurance for over 20 years, retiring in 2020.

In her free time, Nancy enjoyed listening to Elvis, gardening, and most of all, spending time with her family, as they were her entire life.

A memorial in Nancy’s name will be established at a later date in lieu of flowers.

Survivors include her daughter, Rachelle Niemczyk, and son, Jeremy Niemczyk (Patty Kaczmarek), both of Stevens Point; grandsons Forrest Thorson and Tyler Niemczyk; siblings Albert Tokarski of Wisconsin Rapids, Frank Tokarski of Cincinnati, OH, Sandra (Ernest) Waltenberg, Cynthia (Kyle) Alexander, Lori (Bob) Raikowski, Edmund Tokarski, Michelle (Mike) Suchon, Lisa Tokarski, all of Stevens Point, Richard Tokarski of Wyoming, Debora Nelson of Edmonds, WA, and Michael Tokarski of Dodgeville, Wisconsin. She was preceded in death by her parents.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, April 19, 2024, at St. Peter’s Catholic Church, 800 Fourth Ave., Stevens Point, with Rev. Todd Mlsna officiating. Burial will follow at a later date. Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. Friday in the St. Faustina Room of St. Peter Church until the time for mass.
