Mid-State Technical College will host its biannual Program Showcase event in March for students in grades 9 and 10.

These events are open to anyone interested in getting started at Mid-State and will showcase the school’s business, information technology, law, public safety, hospitality, and human services programs.

The Program Showcase career exploration event will be held on Tuesday, March 12, from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. on the Wisconsin Rapids Campus.

“Program Showcase is an opportunity to get students thinking about what might be next after high school,” said Jackie Esselman, dean of Recruitment and Admissions. “This year’s event will feature nearly 20 academic programs, student services and resources, allowing high schoolers to explore all that Mid-State has to offer.”

According to Esselman, program-specific opportunities are also available this spring through the Program Exploration series.

Attendees will meet with current Mid-State students, staff and program faculty, explore campus labs and experience the hands-on learning that Mid-State offers. Students are provided a bingo card of all participating programs and student services with the goal of stopping by as many stations as they can.

Program Showcase is split into morning and afternoon sessions. Due to high demand, both sessions have limited spots available.
