Michael G. Brandt, 57

Michael G. Brandt, age 57, of Stevens Point, died March 20, 2021, at Willow Brooke Senior Living under the care of Compassus Hospice after a long battle with infection and COPD.

Michael was born August 1, 1963, to Gerald & Alvon (Hammerstad) Brandt in Stevens Point. He attended local schools and graduated from Stevens Point Area Senior High School in 1984.

Michael will be remembered for his outgoing personality and strong-willed nature. He loved spending time with family and his grandchildren. In his spare time, he enjoyed watching football, cracking jokes, and spending time outside.

He is survived by his children Toni Brandt of Plover, Stephanie Ramon of Stevens Point, Brooke of Stevens Point, Nicole, and Noelle; brothers Greg Brandt of Wisconsin Rapids and Brian Brandt of Stevens Point; sister Lori Bartha of Wausau; nephew Ashton; and grandchildren Braysen, Talan, Conner, Zailey, Hunter, Alivia, Anya, and William.

He is preceded in death by his parents Gerald and Alvon Brandt and cousin Daniel Mason.

A funeral service celebrating his life will be held at 6 p.m. on Saturday, March 27, 2021, at the Shuda Funeral Home, 3200 Stanley St. Visitation will be held on Friday, March 26, 2021, from 10 a.m. to noon and from 5 p.m. on Saturday until the time of services Saturday both at Shuda’s.
