McCain Foods to hire 100 locally during special hiring events

Looking for steady work? McCain Foods is looking to hire—and big time.
The local supplier of frozen potato and appetizer food products across the country announced this week plans to hire approximately 100 full-time employees at its Plover Appetizers processing facility as the plant moves to a 24/7 production operation.
To fill the openings, the company will hold several virtual and in-person open hiring events over the next two months. The first open hire event will be held on Tuesday, Aug. 17 from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. at its facility located at 3975 Tall Pine Dr. in the Town of Plover.
During the hiring event, prospective employees can apply for employment in person, interview for the position, tour the plant as well as learn about McCain Foods’ commitment to offering employees safe careers built on development and growth within the company.
McCain Foods offers full benefits including health, vision, and dental insurance as well as 401(k) retirement plans, health savings accounts, adoption assistance, infertility assistance, education reimbursement assistance, paid maternity and paternity leave.
Jobs will be offered to some rights on the spot; other jobs may be offered within 24 hours, according to Kurt Thomas, plant manager.
“Our recent move to a 24/7 operation was made to keep up with an increased demand for products from our plant,” Thomas said. “Over the next several weeks, we’re looking to hire more local, and talented, residents to join our McCain family here in Plover to support us during this exciting time as our production grows.”
All attendees are required to follow McCain Foods’ COVID-19 protocols to ensure the health and wellness of those in attendance. Masks will be required and prospective employees will be checked in at the front of the event to participate in a COVID-19 screening questionnaire and temperature check.
McCain Foods will also be hosting a second in-person open hire event on Tuesday, Sept. 14 from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. at its facility.
