Marilyn Jean Benjamin, 66

Marilyn Jean Benjamin, age 66, passed away on August 18, 2022, at Aspirus Wausau Hospital.

Marilyn was born on January 13, 1956, to John and Alma (Lesh) Baltzell in Stevens Point. As a child, she attended local schools and attended P.J. Jacobs.

On September 23, 1972, she married James Benjamin at St. Bronislava in Plover. Together they started their own company, B&B Paving, where Marilyn served as president. Marilyn and Jim welcomed their son, James Benjamin, Jr., in 1972.

Marilyn had a love of traveling as well as animals; especially dogs. She pridefully donated to the Portage County Humane Society.

Marilyn is survived by her loving husband, Jim; her son, Jim (Jessica) Jr.; and two grandchildren, Sean and Luke. She is further survived by four brothers; Dick (Brenda), Leonard (Karen), Nick (Lisa), and Dennis Baltzell, and her dearest friend, Tina Ryburn.

Marilyn was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, John Baltzell.

Services for Marilyn will be held Tuesday, August 30, 2022, at 11 a.m. at Shuda Funeral Chapel, 3200 Stanley Street, Stevens Point, Wis.

Friends and family may gather to share memories on Tuesday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of services at Shuda Funeral Chapel.
