Letter: Wood Co. Sheriff supports Lukas

To the Editor-

It is with great pleasure I get the opportunity to endorse Mike Lukas as he seeks reelection as your sheriff.

I have been fortunate to know Sheriff Lukas for most of my law enforcement career. I have worked with him on many levels, patrol, investigations, and now as sheriff.

Working with Sheriff Lukas I can tell you he is someone you can count on. Being Sheriff in Wood County, there have been many times I have counted on Sheriff Lukas for advice and assistance.

We all work together as a team and count on each other. Simply put, I trust Mike, and the citizens of Portage County are lucky to have him as sheriff. He puts public safety first.

Furthermore, I grew up in Portage County. A part of my heart will always be there. I want to see the continued leadership at the Portage County Sheriff’s Office.

It is an honor to endorse Sheriff Mike Lukas for his re-election.
