Edwin “Eddie” Kenowski, 65

Edwin “Eddie” Kenowski, age 65, of the Town of Stockton, passed away Monday, August 23, 2021, at Wausau Aspirus Hospital.

A Celebration of Life Service for Eddie will be held at noon on Tuesday, August 31, 2021, at the Plover/Shuda Funeral Home, 2400 Plover Road in Plover, Wis. Friends and family will gather to share memories from 9:30 – 11:45 a.m on Tuesday at Shuda’s in Plover. Burial will be at 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday at St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery in Custer.

Eddie was born November 4, 1955, in Stevens Point, the son of Henry and Beatrice (Worzella) Kenowski. He graduated from SPASH in 1973. Ed married Charlotte Grywacz on October 29, 1977, at St. Peter Catholic Church. The couple settled in Stevens Point, Charlotte passed away in 2012.

He retired at the end of April 2021 from Coca-Cola Distributing in Plover after 45 years at the company. Many people will remember Ed as the “Coke Man.”

Eddie married Susan “Susie” Burt on July 17, 2014, in Stevens Point. He enjoyed visiting with family and friends, quiet afternoons with his wife Susie grooming and caring for all the horses, working on his cars, attending car shows and swap meets, church picnics, and golfing with his brother Steve.

He is survived by his wife Susie, two daughters: Jessie (Nick) Freeberg, Rudolph, and Rebecca Yulga, Stevens Point. Step-Son Nick (Tracie) Lopata, Henderson, NV.

Seven grandchildren: Vanessa, Dawn, Tanner, Gavin, Evan, Jonah, and Timothy.

Four brothers: Kenneth (Barbara), Custer; Steve (Donna); Alan; Ronald (Joan), all of Stevens Point.

Five sisters: Carol Novack, Wisconsin Rapids: Marie (Mark) Higgins, Plover; Barbara (Eric) Grasamkee, Betty (Michael) Viviani; and Julie (Joel) Altenberg, all of Stevens Point.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife Charlotte, and his brother David.
