CVB names new board members, officers, for 2020

The Stevens Point Area Convention and Visitors Bureau has announced its new board members and officers for 2020.

Sherry Noska of Cobblestone Hotel & Wissota Chophouse has been named Chair; Greg Diekroeger of the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point has been named Vice Chair; Carie Winn of the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point has been named Treasurer; and Kathy Ostrowski of Team Schierl Companies, has been named Secretary.

Three new board members were elected, including Sarah Agena of Backcountry Brewing, Quyen Hom of Assembly Shop and Amy Boston of Holiday Inn Hotel & Convention Center.

The SPACVB operates an economic and community development organization whose purpose is to expand Portage County’s economy by attracting conventions, sporting events and leisure tourists to Portage County. Millions of dollars from visitor spending and increased tax revenues are generated to increase commerce, sustain jobs and to create a desirable destination.
