Coats for Kids collection kicks off Oct. 1

The Operation Bootstrap Coats for Kids collection will be held through Oct. 31 at locations across Portage County.

Members of the public are asked to donate new or gently-used coats, hats, mittens, and gloves for families in need. Dropoff locations include sponsor businesses Traditions Cleaners, 3423 Main St.; NRG Media studios, 2301 Plover Rd.; Woodlands Church, 190 Hoover Ave.; DigiCOPY Stevens Point, 428 Division St.; Skyward, 2601 Skyward Dr.; and Sentry Insurance, 1800 Northpoint Dr.

All items will be cleaned by Traditions Cleaners prior to distribution. The coat drive is also sponsored by Rotary International.
