Candidate forums scheduled ahead of April election

A series of candidate forums for the spring election will be held on March 12 and 14.

Candidates in contested races across Portage Co. have been invited to participate in the questions-and-answer forums ahead of the April 2 ballot.

The forums are co-sponsored by the League of Women Voters of the Stevens Point Area, the Portage County Business Council, the UWSP Student Government Association, and the SPASH Student Senate.

March 12

Dreyfus University Center Theater, 1015 Reserve St., Stevens Point

6-7:15 p.m. Stevens Point Area District School Board
7:30-8:45 p.m. Stevens Point City Council

March 14

ADRC Lincoln Center Community Room, 1519 Water St., Stevens Point

5:30-6:15 p.m. County Board Supervisor Districts 1, 3, 4 and 6
6:30-7:30 p.m. County Board Supervisor Districts 8, 9, 10, 12 and 14
7:45-8:45 p.m. County Board Supervisor Districts 15, 16, 17, 19 and 25

The forums will also be recorded for airing on the Stevens Point YouTube and public access channels.
