Bonnie Kreckel, 75

Bonnie Kreckel, age 75, of Stevens Point passed away Friday, October 8, 2021, at her home. She was watched over by loved ones, as she lost her battle with cancer. A celebration of life gathering in her honor will be held in the coming weeks.

Bonnie was born August 24, 1946, in Stevens Point, the daughter of Hubert and Janet (Trepkowski) Check. She graduated from P.J. Jacobs High School and moved to Milwaukee. She married Richard Kreckel and raised their family in Milwaukee. Bonnie worked at Briggs & Stratton for 30 years, retiring in 2002. She returned to Stevens Point to enjoy her retirement.

She is survived by her son Kevin (Ginger) Kreckel, Gilbert, Ariz. Son-in-law: Michael Bialoszynski; five grandchildren: Dustin, Brittany, Amanda, Cali, and Mikey. Six siblings: Donna Kluck, Scandinavia; LeRoy Check, Plover; Kathie (Matthew) Golla, Fond du Lac; Lois (Thomas) Henke, Junction City; Terry (Susan) Check, Stevens Point; Tammy Check, Stevens Point. Sister-in-law: Connie Check, Stevens Point. She was preceded in death by her parents, her daughter: Karri Bialoszynski; her grandson Brandon; and her brother: Robert “Bob” Check and brother-in-law Jim Kluck.

Bonnie was a smart, beautiful, independent woman, and will be greatly missed by those who loved her. The family wishes if you desire to make a donation in Bonnie’s name, that you direct it to the charity of your choice in lieu of flowers.
