Ben Franklin Jr. High to celebrate 50th birthday

The public is invited to an open house at Ben Franklin Jr. High on May 30, part of the school’s 50th birthday celebration.

The south side junior high school currently serves about 800 students in grades 7-9.

The open house includes special guests, live music, cake and building tours on Wed., May 30 from 4:30-6:30 p.m.

Ben Franklin Jr. High is one of two public junior high schools in the city, and it located at 2000 Polk St.
