After ‘diggin’ deep, SPASH raised $25K+ for breast care fund

Metro Wire Staff

The SPASH Panthers volleyball team and their fans were definitely “diggin’” for a cause this year.

The team recently donated $25,827 to the Aspirus Stevens Point Hospital Foundation’s Breast Care Fund.

The team raised the funds at its 12th Annual Diggin’ the Cause game on October 13. The players are especially proud that this year’s game raised nearly $10,000 more than any previous Diggin’ the Cause games.

The Breast Care Fund helps breast cancer patients at Aspirus Cancer Care-Stevens Point who need assistance with treatment-related costs.

Thanks to its donors, Aspirus Stevens Point Hospital Foundation can continue to assist the most vulnerable and underserved and pays special attention to making an impact in the areas of oncology, behavioral health, cardiac care, women’s health, and community impact.
