Police & Sheriff calls, Dec. 28-30

Dec. 28

Bad Sale: A 34-year-old was arrested for bail-jumping and theft by false representation for selling a vehicle he does not own to another man, 33, at 12:50 p.m. on the 2500 block of Fourth Ave.

Harassment: A 41-year-old woman called deputies from the 100 block of County Trunk J in Almond at 1:01 p.m. to report her daughter’s ex-boyfriend, 20, was continuously driving by their home and revving his engine. Deputies advised the woman to pursue a restraining order.

Peeping Neighbors: A 25-year-old woman called police at 9:05 p.m. from the 3900 block of Doolittle Dr. to report her neighbors were harassing her by banging on the walls and videotaping her.

Dec. 29

OWI: Police arrested a 22-year-old woman near Division St. and Maria Dr. at 2:45 a.m. for operating under the influence. The woman was reportedly stopped for operating her vehicle without taillights.

Motorist Assist: Deputies assisted a 30-year-old woman in opening her vehicle after she’d accidentally locked her keys and infant inside her car on the 5000 block of County Trunk J at 11:38 a.m.

Disorderly: Police were called to the 1300 block of Second St. after someone reported a man and a woman arguing loudly. The man, 21, was arrested for disorderly conduct.

Human Resources Nightmare: An 18-year-old woman called police from the 2700 block of Stanley St. at 1:54 p.m. to report her male employer, 40, had been sending her inappropriate messages. The man was arrested for harassment.

Gas Thief: A 33-year-old woman from a gas station on the 2100 block of Division St. called police at 3:30 p.m. to report an unknown man filled his tank with $21 in gasoline then fled.

Fighting Over the Kids: A 31-year-old man was arrested after striking the mother of his children “multiple times” on the 1300 block of Briggs Ct. at 5:49 p.m. The man fled on foot but was soon caught, telling police he was angry over not being able to see his children.

Dec. 30

Underage: A 20-year-old man was cited for underage drinking following a single-vehicle crash near Green Ave. and Lorraine St. at 1:14 a.m.

Meth Bust: Police arrested a 34-year-old man on an active warrant. While searching his person, police found two syringes filled with methamphetamine. The man was also charged with possession of meth, possession of drug paraphernalia, and probation violation.
