Maher Water settles into new space

By Brandi Makuski

Maher Water Corporation has some new digs.

The business relocated from its Hoover Rd. location in mid-August, and is now open at its new location, 5601 EM Copps Dr.

Danielle Maher-Baron and her husband, Sam Baron, are the third generation of the family to operate the company, taking over ownership from her parents, William and Bonita Maher in 2011.

Maher-Baron said the move became necessary after the city announced plans to widen the Hoover Rd./Coye Dr. intersection, an extension of overpass project on Country Club Dr./Hoover Rd. designed to improve driving conditions in the area. Those plans will remove a large piece of the former Maher’s parking lot, which would have made access difficult for customers and the company’s trucks.

The new space has plenty of room, Maher-Baron said, and stands at about 12,000-square feet. With the move, the company also added one position and now employs 26 people.

“The move is mostly about logistics,” Baron said. “So customers won’t see a difference; they’ll have the same quality of service they’ve always had.”

The company provides bottled water delivery and free water testing. It also installs residential and commercial water treatment systems, and rents and sells water coolers.

Maher-Baron said the company serves about 24,000 customers across 19 counties in Wisconsin.
