GREATER PRAIRIE-CHICKEN ADVISORY COMMITTEE

In the morning at the DNR Buena Vista field office, there will be updates on 2023 public land management within the Greater Prairie-Chicken focus area, 2023 prairie-chicken survey report, outreach/education and partner updates. Public attendees will be allowed to comment at the end of the morning session, but the public has no authority to vote. Public attendees will be limited to three minutes each, depending upon how many people from the public attend. In the afternoon, a bus will be driving to sites to discuss the management of the Leola and Buena Vista Wildlife Areas.

JOINT PUBLIC HEARING ON PERMANENT RULES DG-02-22 AND DG-03-22

This is a joint public hearing on permanent rules DG-02-22 and DG-03-22. DG-02-22 affects ch. NR 854, and is related to statewide water supply service area planning for municipalities serving populations greater than 10,000 people. DG-03-22 affects ch. NR 851, and is related to the management of diversions (transfers of water from the Great Lakes basin to outside of the Great Lakes basin) and intrabasin transfers, including the application and review process and other related criteria.
The public has the opportunity to testify at the hearing. Pre-registration is strongly encouraged if you plan to provide spoken comments during the hearing.
