Terry Chevalier

Terry Chevalier passed away on March 30, 2023, with her children by her side.

Terry was born in Okinawa, Japan, but was so proud to become an American citizen. She loved this country, and all the opportunities it provided for her.

Terry’s greatest joy was her family. She is survived by her children: Sally (Michael), Rumiko, Marie (Rob), Philip (Sherri), Erica (Matthew), Tina (David), Tamara, and Jane (Gary). Her beloved grandchildren: Bryan, Crystal (Nick), Christopher (Nicole), Natasha (Benno), Quintin, Christian, Caleb, Corey, Alex (Shannon), Jharred (Kelsey), Corinne, Kari, Tyler, Nathaniel, Riley. Her beloved great-grandchildren: Natalie, Nicholas, Lele, Joseph, Justin, Lewis, Emma, Andy, Trinity and Zachary, as well as close family friends, Dave Wochinski and Bruce Kurkowski.

Terry would do anything and everything for her family and anyone else who needed help. Through her, we all learned the true meaning of courage, perseverance, and self-sacrifice. She worked hard to provide for her family, but never complained. She also valued the best moments in life, with a laughter so contagious that you couldn’t help but laugh along with her. We will always remember her beautiful smile and laugh.

In addition to spending time with her family, Terry also enjoyed fishing, winning at the casino, and cooking. We will especially miss her egg rolls, fried bread, and never-ending pot of rice.

Per our Mom’s wishes, there will not be a formal funeral service. Instead, please honor her memory in your own way: plant some flowers, feed the birds, donate to a cancer foundation, proudly display the American flag, or any other way to celebrate her life.

We would like to extend our heartfelt appreciation and thanks to Dr. Islam, Michelle, Ashleigh, and all the staff at Aspirus Stevens Point Oncology. We would also like to thank Dr. Ravi, Diane, Kay, Taylor, Bailey, and the rest of the staff who shared our journey with Mom. Your care and attention went above and beyond; it did not go unnoticed by Terry and her family.
