UPDATE: Pine Grove man dies in Friday motorcycle crash

The Portage Co. Sheriff’s Office says one man died Friday night in a motorcycle crash.

The victim was identified Monday morning as Corey Pratt, 46.

Deputies were called to County Hwy. W near 1st St. in Almond at about 11:20 p.m. on Sept 29 for  a report of a motorcycle vs. deer crash.

Sgt. Ryan Hoffman from PSCO said upon arrival, deputies discovered a Harley Davidson motorcycle on its side in the eastbound lane.

Deputies located the operator approximately 100 feet east of the motorcycle in the westbound lane. The operator, and lone occupant, of the motorcycle, a 46-year-old male from the town of Pine Grove, died as a result of the injuries sustained in the crash.

The Portage County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by Bancroft Fire, Almond Fire, Almond EMS, Plover Ambulance, and the Portage County Medical Examiner’s Office.
