PCBC thanks retiring Board members, welcomes new members for 2024

The Portage County Business Council has several new members on its Board of Directors.

The new Board was elected during the PCBC Board’s annual meeting in December. The nomination committee presents a slate of candidates to the PCBC membership, known as “investors,” for approval, according to Michael Witte, President and CEO of the Portage County Business Council.

Ten new members were elected to serve two three-year terms:

Renee Carlson – Associated Bank
Patrick Freund – The Sky Club
Justin Hoerter – Delta Dental
Dawn Laugelli – Bowwow Meow Boutique
Nicole Molski – Point After
Carrie Penovich – Aspirus
Brian Pfannes – Steel King
Karla Turzinski – AIG
Lizz Schneider – Infinity Wealth
Sherri Galle-Teske – Portage County Humane Society – President of Ambassador Club (1 Year Term)

“We want the Board of Directors to reflect our community and help guide our work to continue our goal of creating an area where people want to live, work, and thrive,” Witte said.

Witte also thanked the seven Board members who stepped down at the end of 2023, saying “Their input and guidance are crucial to the ongoing success of our efforts.”
