Mid-State to host Program Exploration career events

Mid-State Technical College is continuing its “Program Exploration” series this spring in a showcase of business, information technology, law, public safety, hospitality and human services programs.

Each event will feature opportunities to experiences hands-on activities, tour classrooms, meet with faculty and current students and learn about financial aid and scholarship options.

  • Business & Information Technology: Thursday, Feb. 15, from 4 to 6 p.m. on the Stevens Point Campus
  • Law & Public Safety: Thursday, Feb. 29, from 4 to 6 p.m. on the Wisconsin Rapids Campus
  • Hospitality & Human Services: Wednesday, April 17, from 4 to 6 p.m. on the Wisconsin Rapids Campus

Mid-State kicked off the Program Exploration events last fall, featuring applied technology, nursing, and university transfer programs.

Over the course of the three events, 33 Mid-State programs will be highlighted. Attendees will get to know a variety of programs as well as the various support services available to Mid-State students, including student life, academic advising and counseling.

According to Allyse Sullivan, adult outreach coordinator and pathway navigator, Program Exploration events are open to returning learners, transfer students, high schoolers and anyone interested in getting started at Mid-State. Parents of high school students are also welcome to attend.
