City police need help identifying vandalism suspects

The Stevens Point Police Department needs the public’s help identifying three suspects who may be responsible for property damage behind Guu’s on Main in the downtown district.

Lt. Joe Johnson from SPPD says the three college-aged men are believed to have damaged an outdoor gazebo owned by the city at 1:53 a.m. on Feb. 11.

The gazebo is owned by the city but maintained by Guu’s, Johnson said. The vandalism was caught on surveillance video outside of the restaurant, he added.

The value of the damage is estimated at $400, Johnson said.

Tipsters can remain anonymous and still be eligible for a cash reward. The Portage Co. Crime Stoppers said tipsters can send information by phone at 888-436-6600 on via the P3 app:
