One promoted at the Portage County Sheriff’s Office

Chris Stanton has been promoted at the Portage County Sheriff’s Office.

Stanton has been moved up from patrol deputy to detective during a special ceremony on June 6.

During his seven years at PCSO, Stanton has been a field training officer, DNR safety instructor, EVOC (Emergency Vehicle Operator Course) instructor, vehicle contacts instructor, and Project Lifesaver instructor.

He previously worked at the Verona Police Department.
