Letter: Can city council be trusted?

To the Editor-

Is it a good idea to elect common council representatives who refuse to pass legislation on separation of power, term limits, and officers simultaneously holding city and county board positions?

Is it a good idea to elect those who strengthen the Wiza/UWSP dynasty and use their offices to promote hate and anger toward the opposite sex, opposite race, opposite culture, historical tradition, hallowed institutions, law, and order?

The Stevens Point City Council has voted to appoint a worthy candidate for the 6th District position previously held by Alderman Ron Carlson who recently resigned for health reasons.

The board is challenged to choose an interim representative who matches the character, dedication, and leadership provided to the city by Alderman Ron Carlson.

Effective city representatives model exemplary behavior for the public at meetings and in daily life. The citizens are unable to tolerate anyone else deciding the future of our city.
