Annual ruck 10K opens for public registration

UW-Stevens Point has opened registration for the 2023 Ranger Ruck 10K.
The event will be held on Sept. 16 and is open to students, faculty, staff, and community members. Participants should wear a backpack or ruck weighing 35 pounds, although unweighted walk/run options are available.
The six-mile out-and-back route is similar to last year, beginning and ending on the northeast side of Marshfield Clinic Champions Hall, 2050 Fourth Ave. The course travels through Schmeeckle Reserve and ends at Kotal Field.
The event is a fundraiser for the UWSP Ranger Challenge Club.
Registration is $20, or $10 for active-duty military, veterans, law enforcement, first responders, and UWSP students. Anyone who registers by Aug. 20 will receive an event t-shirt.
