David D. Kaetterhenry, 90

David D. Kaetterhenry, 90, of Stevens Point, passed away peacefully Thursday, May 30, 2024, at his home, surrounded by his family.

A private graveside service, officiated by Pastor Brian Richard, will be held on Aug. 15.

Kaetterhenry was born April 26, 1934, in Wausau to Lorenz and Jessie Kaetterhenry. He served in the Navy Seabees and married Margaret Accola on July 5, 1958, in Wisconsin Rapids. He was a heavy equipment operator and owner of Peoples Fuel Company. Kaetterhenry enjoyed watching sports, playing golf, reading, playing cards with his wife and grandchildren, bird watching, and spending time in church and in prayer.

He is survived by his children, Konnie (Kelly) Kohnen of Plover; Lorie (Mark) Henke of Powell, Wyo.; Dean (Donna) Kaetterhenry of Plover; Jennifer Kaetterhenry of Xenia, Ohio; and Michele (Kevin) Gunderson of Las Vegas; his brother, Jay Kaetterhenry; and grandchildren, Felicia (Pete) Gremmer, Keenan Henke, Kasey K. Henke, Jaimee (Kyle) Dallman, Dexter (Sarah) Kaetterhenry, Beth (Robert) Woodard, Kyle Henke, Kale (Rissa) Henke, Paris Gunderson, Logun Gunderson, and Makala Gunderson; and 11 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret Kaetterhenry; his parents; grandchildren, Kasey L. Henke and Joshua Medina; and great-grandchild, Oliver Gremmer.
