Letter: Constituent unhappy with lack of response from Testin

To the Editor-

Wisconsin politics has left many voters feeling disenfranchised, so I was encouraged by my Senator [Patrick] Testin’s recent newsletter urging constituents to contact him with ideas for legislation.

As a young man, I was taught well to do my civic duty, so I politely reached out to Senator Testin.

Over a month passed and despite my follow-up email communications, phone messages with staff, and voicemails left at his office, Senator Testin chose not to engage in discussion with me, which was disheartening.

Elected representatives, please know that good manners and civic duty never go out of style in Central Wisconsin. Make good choices: communicate earnestly with your constituents—especially when you invite collaboration.
