POTD: A safe place to rest

A section of the Walmart parking lot has been roped off to accommodate a mother in need.

Management at the superstore, 250 Crossroads Dr. in Plover, secured a small section of its outdoor garden area where a nesting dove was spotted among some of the merchandise.

The dove remained on her nest all night through Monday night storms and was still in the same place Tuesday morning protecting her brood, according to area resident Sherri Galley-Teske, who took the photo.
