Portage County Alliance hosts Poker Run to support snowmobile, ATV/UTV clubs

Portage County — The Alliance of Portage County Snowmobile and ATV/UTV Clubs is hosting its inaugural countywide Poker Run to raise funds for local clubs.

The event is ongoing and will conclude on September 22, with participants purchasing poker books for $10 each from a variety of sponsoring establishments.

The Poker Run aims to engage the community while supporting the recreational clubs that maintain trails and promote safe riding. Participants are encouraged to visit the sponsoring locations, collect stamps, and assemble the best poker hand possible.

The event’s grand prize winner will receive 30 percent of the total funds raised, with second and third-place winners receiving 20 percent and 10 percent, respectively.

In addition to the top prizes, participants who visit all 29 sponsor locations will be entered into a $250 drawing. The event will culminate with an ending party at Backwoods Bar and Grill on September 22, from noon to 4 p.m.
