Pavelski’s medical leave continues

County Executive John Pavelski continues to be on medical leave for at least a few more weeks, according to a news release from Portage Co.

Jane Iwanksi, Pavelski’s executive assistant, first notified the press on May 21 that Pavelski would be out on a temporary leave effective immediately, but offered no further information on Pavelski’s condition. Another announcement came on Wednesday that Pavelski was still not ready to return to work.

The news release said Pavelski was recovering from an undisclosed health issue.

County Board Chair Ray Reser will continue taking on Pavelski’s duties, Iwanski said. She added that the county expects no interruption in daily operations.

“The public is asked to respect the privacy of Pavelski and his family during this time,” Iwanski said.
