Lucille “Lu” Schrank, 88

Lucille “Lu” Schrank, 88, beloved wife and mother of five, passed away on June 25, 2024.

She was born February 2, 1936, in Rosholt to Eiolf and Mabel Hanson. Lu was raised in Junction City, Wis. She graduated from P.J. Jacobs High School in Stevens Point, where she was a member of the National Honor Society and Homecoming Queen.

She dedicated 50 years of service to the Rice Clinic in Stevens Point and was a devoted member of St. Paul Lutheran Church.

Lu married James H. Schrank on June 11, 1955. Together, they raised five children: Sherree, Lori, Gary, Jolene, and Jay, and were blessed with 11 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

A passionate golfer, Lu was an active member of the Wisconsin River Country Club, achieving a “hole in one” on the 3rd hole. She cherished time with family and friends at Lake DuBay, enjoying boating, waterskiing, and camping.

Lu was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Edgar; and her loving husband of 57 years, Jim.
