Gary E. “Lefty” Bosworth, 74

Gary E. “Lefty” Bosworth, 74, a longtime resident of Stevens Point known for his love of the outdoors and dedication to family, passed away peacefully at his home on Tuesday, May 14, 2024.

Born Nov. 21, 1949, in Burlington, Wis., to the late Richard and Shirley (Munson) Bosworth, Gary was a graduate of Burlington High School, where he actively participated in sports, including football.

He was an avid outdoorsman, enjoying hunting, fishing, camping, and cooking. He also had a fondness for watching westerns. Known for his stubbornness and big heart, Gary cherished spending time with family and friends and was always willing to lend a helping hand.

Gary is survived by his sons, Marcus and Kevin Bosworth, daughter Leah (Jeremy) Moore, four grandchildren, brothers Richard and Larry Bosworth, sister Patricia Kegley, and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by sons Gary, Jr. and Eric Bosworth, daughter-in-law Shawnna Bosworth, sisters Shirley Bourbeau, Linda Baumister, and Betsy Bosworth, and brother Donald Bosworth.
