St. Ladislaus Parish to host annual ‘Event in Bevent’

Bevent — St. Ladislaus Parish will host its annual “Event in Bevent” on June 29 and 30. The festivities will take place at the parish grounds located at the junction of Highways 153 and Y.

The event will feature a range of activities, including music, food, refreshments, games, and more. Attendees can enjoy attractions such as a cherry tree, a bounce house, cash raffles, mini raffles, an ATV raffle, the Kountry Kafe, train rides, and bingo.

On Saturday, June 29, the grounds will open at 5 p.m. The day will begin with an indoor polka mass at 4 p.m., led by the Maroszek Brothers.

Music will continue on the grounds from 5 p.m. to midnight, featuring performances by the Maroszek Brothers from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. and Blame it on Waylon from 8 p.m. to midnight.

Sunday, June 30, will start with an indoor polka mass at 10:10 a.m., featuring The New Generation. Music on the grounds will follow from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., alternating between The Jerry Schmitt Band, performing country music, and The New Generation, delivering polka music.

A grilled chicken dinner will be served starting at 11 a.m. in the tent next to the school. Bingo will take place at noon in the Church Hall.
