Stevens Point book publisher Worzalla is taking donations for the Salvation Army.
The company, located at 3535 Jefferson St., has a Giving Tree on display in its front lobby. Donations of non-perishable food, clothing, household items, and more are being taken through Dec. 22.
Worzalla is encouraging the community to donate items for the holiday drive with a raffle of exclusive book packages, according to a news release from the company. Employees from the company will also be donating goods.
For each donated item, the public can take a ticket from the giving tree, write their name and phone number on the ticket, and that ticket will be an entry into the raffle. Tickets will be entered into a drawing that will be held on Dec. 23, 2020, to win a Diary of a Wimpy Kid collection, a cookbook basket, a Joanna Gaines basket, or a children’s book basket.
Three winners will also receive a book in the mail each month during 2021.
Most in need are peanut butter, canned goods, pasta and rice, applesauce, crackers, and granola bars. Personal hygiene items like deodorant, toothpaste/toothbrushes, bar soap, and body wash, diapers, and baby wipes, are also needed. New bedding, pillows, and blankets for twin-sized beds, and new hats and mittens, are also being sought.
Worzalla’s lobby is open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
